Dalel Ouasli

Whether layers of skin or brushstrokes, Dalel blends anonymous bodies and faces with pastel leaves that adorn each of her artworks. Nothing explicit, but instinct
expresses it well; she advocates a pictorial language where Man, stripped of his trappings, immerses - better than revolts - into the nature that cradled him.
Born on the shores of a Mediterranean rich in mixtures and vegetation, the artist-painter concentrates in her canvases and numerous other creations, the soul of her French dolce vita. As if to better discern it, to feel the breeze, her unique faces - with multifaceted facets - keep their eyelids closed. Hide from me this gaze...
...So show your skin: whatever its color, it is indeed what flavors Dalel's return to her roots; a skin that embodies, all at once, the diversity of the artist's influences, the cultural and colorful patchwork she enjoys assembling, and above all, the nobility of these primitive creatures who, at a mere glance, gather the spectators who admire them.
